Winston Preparatory School, an independent school for students with learning disabilities, considers professional development to be the foundation of a successful learning experience for each individual student. Our professional development programs are rooted in our foundational Continuous Feedback System model and designed to promote creative problem solving, innovation and collaboration amongst instructors and campus leaders so that each student’s program is continually meeting their individual academic, social and emotional needs. Throughout this session we will share a few of the specific programs we have developed through discussion, shared video clips and images related to professional development initiatives such as our Winston 101, designed for our first year instructors, Teacher Excellence & Leadership Development program, designed for our more experienced instructors, and our in-house Faculty Learning Library portal which is designed as a multi-campus online hub for collaboration and inspiration through the sharing of tools, strategies, research, questions, and more.
